Stock by batch, sold by expiry
- Every purchase line keeps its batch number, expiry and MRP.
- Sales take the batch that expires first (FEFO), and expired stock can never be sold.
- Expiry alerts 90, 60 and 30 days ahead, so you return stock to the supplier in time.
The law, built in
- Never above MRP. Discounts are fine; overcharging isn't.
- Schedule H1 sales go in a register kept for 3 years: patient, doctor, medicine and quantity.
- Schedule X copies are kept for 2 years.
- Prescription-only medicines need a prescription. Keep a photo of outside prescriptions with the sale.
Money that adds up
- Credit sales tracked per customer, with reminders.
- Supplier bills, payments and returns (with credit notes) in one place.
- A daily cash count and an end-of-day summary on WhatsApp.
If there's a doctor next door
When the clinic's prescription reaches the counter by itself, there are no handwriting mistakes and no retyping. Patients can also send their prescription from their phone and collect the medicines packed and ready.
